Ivie Okafor, PT
Physiotherapist
Ivie is a Nigerian-trained physiotherapist who graduated in 2009 and practiced in her home country for over eight years before relocating with her family to Canada in 2019. During her years of practice in Nigeria, she specialized in pediatric and neurorehabilitation.
After moving to Canada, Ivie successfully completed her credentialing process and residency in Saint John. She is passionate about delivering evidence-based treatment and has pursued additional training in chronic pain management, the McKenzie Method, the Mulligan Concept, concussion management, and is currently working toward a specialty in pelvic health.
Ivie’s approach to care is deeply rooted in a patient-centered philosophy. She takes the time to understand each patient’s unique goals, lifestyle, and challenges, collaborating with them to create personalized treatment plans. Whether working with high-performance athletes or individuals recovering from health conditions, she combines evidence-based techniques with clear communication to empower her patients. She believes in treating the whole person—not just the injury—and incorporates education, active rehabilitation, and preventative strategies to help patients regain confidence and achieve their best outcomes.
