Jolie Gale, PT
Physiotherapist

Born and raised in Codroy Valley, Newfoundland, Jolie always knew that she wanted to work in the field of health and wellness. She attended St. Francis Xavier University from 1997-2001 where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Human Kinetics and a minor in Biology. From 2001-2006 Jolie had the opportunity to share her passion of health and fitness while she was employed as a PSP fitness and sports instructor at CFB Gagetown. During this time Jolie pursued extensive certifications and qualifications in the field which included, but was not limited to: Personal Trainer Certification (Canadian Personal Trainers Network), Certified Fitness Consultant (CSEP), Group Fitness Certification, Spin Cycle Certified (Reebok/YMCA), National Lifeguard Certification (Pool), and Crossfit Certifications (through Coach Glassman).

From 2006-2008 Jolie continued her studies at Dalhousie University and earned her Masters of Science in Physiotherapy. In the past 10+ years as a registered physiotherapist Jolie has continued her love of learning by participating in post-graduate courses which include several levels of acupuncture through the Acupuncture Foundation Institute of Canada, all levels of the McKenzie/MDT system of assessment and treatment, Mulligan Concept certification, Diagnosis and Treatment of Motor System Impairments certification, as well as courses though APTEI and various other organizations. While the focus of Jolie’s physiotherapy career has been musculo-skeletal / orthopaedic in nature, Jolie has had the opportunity to work in diverse settings which, in addition to private practices and CAF bases, has included several retirement homes and long-term care homes.

In clinical practice Jolie’s treatment philosophy embraces treating the whole individual and considers functional requirements for work and lifestyle. Jolie uses a variety of techniques to achieve client-centered goals. Jolie utilizes an active approach to therapy and formulates a simple, personalized program for home use. Jolie educates her clients about their injury/ailment and equips them with knowledge about their condition so that they can reach their goals as soon as possible.

She looks forward to helping you be your best you soon!
